Who said I don't like toys?

I would like to apologize for the lack of pictures to color this entry. When my human fixes the internet connection, I will share them with the world! Woof.

When I first came to stay here, with mummy that is, my humans all thought that I didn't like toys! What they don't know, is that at my breeder's place, I had plenty of toys, and I enjoyed playing with them. Of course I did not like it when the big uncles and aunties I had there stole my toys. Some of them are so selfish, they take ALL the toys for themselves, and they leave me with nothing! Hmph.

Mum's first toy for me was a Kong. It was a standard pink puppy Kong. Sigh, why do all humans think that we canines love the Kong? I know it's their strong selling point, but not all of us think alike! I know that when there's no treat in there, it's just a piece of rubber (it even smells like rubber!) Why should I bite it?

But yes, Mummy knows how to get my attention. At first she put kibble in it. My mealtime kibble! How silly! I simply pushed it around with my nose and out they came! Did they think that I would be so stupid?

After a while, my humans got smarter. They made things really difficult for me! I clearly remember the frozen peanut butter which smelt like kibble. Gosh, it was so difficult that I resorted to jamming the Kong into a corner so that I could stick my tongue in to lick it. It was so difficult that I gave up halfway.

Soon, Mummy realized that kibble wasn't going to keep me interested for long. Guess what? She put delicious mushy-smelling food in the Kong! I can feel my saliva drooling out of my mouth, just thinking of it. But mummy always had to make things so difficult for me. The food was frozen in the Kong. That takes away the fun of soft food, doesn't it? I enjoyed it thoroughly, though it was as difficult as the peanut butter one, but I just had to get some out. And more out, and more. Ahhhh...I love mushy food! Especially if it smells like it contains veges =)
